About Me
Hi, I’m Amy Holt — a Louisiana-based photographer with a passion for capturing real, unscripted moments. I love working in natural light and occasionally bring in a little extra light when it fits the shot — except for action, which I always keep natural. My passion is shooting sports, especially fast-paced outdoor events, along with senior portraits, maternity, and “mommy & me” sessions.
I’m happiest with a camera in hand under the open sky — whether it’s during the quiet magic of golden hour or the rush of a sporting event. I’m excited to continue growing my sports photography and work toward covering even more outdoor, high-energy events, bringing the same authentic, story-driven style to every shot. For me, it’s all about preserving the moments that make life beautiful.
I started my photography journey over 20 years ago with sports photography, and before long, it evolved into capturing just about anything. For a time, I stepped back to raise our four amazing kids alongside my late husband, Tiger—my best friend, the love of my life, and my forever sidekick. I “fired” him at least a hundred times during sessions, but truthfully, I couldn’t have done it without him. He believed in me more than I believed in myself, and that unwavering support still inspires my work today.
When our third child became a senior, I picked up my camera again—and that spark came rushing back. I’m drawn to the kind of images that make you stop and say, “That’s the one.” For me, every photo should tell a story, and that’s how I’ve always approached photography. My style blends bright and moody, chasing natural light and capturing those in-between, real moments.
Though based in Louisiana, I’m always ready for travel and new adventures. My work has been featured on senior photography platforms and published in a senior photography magazine. Each session helps me grow, push my creativity, and tell stories that truly matter.
What started as a way to bless others with free sessions has grown into a full business. As a widow and a working artist, I’ve turned my love for photography into a career—one that allows me to support my family and honor the gift God gave me. I never went to school for photography; I’m entirely self-taught and give God all the glory for this journey. I still love giving back because this is a gift from God, and I believe in sharing that blessing with others.
When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll usually find me with the people I love most — my family and friends. They’re my heart. I’m also mom to four extremely spoiled fur babies and a proud country girl at heart.
I love shooting sporting clays — it’s always full of laughter, friendly competition, and a good dose of girl power. My late husband, Tiger, and I coached 4-H kids in shotguns for years, and I was always the team cheerleader, offering tips and encouragement along the way. Building kids up — and watching their confidence grow — is something I’ll always be passionate about.
Mexican food and pistachio coffee are my love languages, worship music fills my soul, and I’ll never pass up a good book or quiet time with my Bible. I enjoy meeting new people, embracing challenges, and finding beauty in every story I get to capture. Whether it’s through laughter, connection, or that perfect in-between moment, my goal is to create something meaningful together.
